Sherris, busy? A parent? Have no idea what you're talking about. Andrea, I so enjoyed reading your thoughtful note--and appreciate your transparency. What would happen if all of us told the truth about our parenting? Hmmm...! Erika, thank you so much for your words of encouragement. I do plan to chime in when I can. All in all, Shelly, it looks like you'll be in good hands--and hearts :-). Much love to all, Jill

Jill, I salute and honour you in your decision. You are a brave soul. The very best to you in your new chapter of life. May if bring you every happiness you deserve.
Shelley, congratulations! So thrilling for you. Looking forward to hearing about the developments. I would be happy to be a guest blogger in August, as I am a teacher and am more available in the summer. I live in Newmarket, just north of Toronto, am a mother of 2 and an avid writer. I have been looking for an outlet, so this may be a welcome opportunity. Thanks.

Shelly, I'm very happy for you. I can see you holding your bundle of joy already. You'll be an amazing mom!!!

Jill, I don't know you personally, but I really enjoyed reading about your hands on situations with your son. You have a deep understanding on what's going on in your child and in yourself and it's kind of liberating that a mom with your background struggles at times to implement new and old strategies in heated situations. It is reassuring to hear from you and other parents that it is an ongoing challenge to know what's the right thing to do in the ever changing "moments" with our kid/s. Let alone our own emotions that get evoked by our kids actions.

The other day I forgot to put away stacks of papers work that I neatly organized. My 2 year old son found them and moved and mixed them around throughout the room and then my 4 year old son called me happily "Mommy, Nicholas made a mess". Instead of seeing the pride and joy of accomplishment in their eyes I just screamed in shock of the mess and the work ahead of me to reorganize my papers. Parenting is a wild ride of joy, love and struggles. At times it feels like a 24x7 workshop to me.

Taking good care of myself (I went to Harbin Hot Springs by myself last weekend) and shifting gears towards compassion and acceptance with my family and the world is an ongoing process. Jill, I wish you all the best for your professional and personal life.....and I look forward to hear from you on this blog.....maybe in August or September. ;-)

Much love,.....Andrea
